Agriculture has primarily been the backbone of Bangladesh’s Economy. With the advancement of technology, Agriculture sector is also developing gradually. In this context, Fosholi has come up for the farmers in the form of digital platform. with advisory service for the farmers in form of a digital platform, Fosholi.

Best agriculture app- Fosholi disseminates high quality farming information that is available in both static and dynamic form. The platform is designed to enable farmers to become smart farmers. Its services are broadly classified into the areas of Pre-Cultivation, Cultivation, Post-Cultivation, Weather Forecast, My Crop, Knowledge Bank, Farmer’s Toolbox, Reach to Extension etc. Over 105,000 farmers are regularly getting relevant information and advisory services of their own area by the app on agriculture. 

কৃষি বিষয়ক সেরা মোবাইল অ্যাপ “ফসলি” দেশের কৃষিতে এক নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করেছে। কৃষিকাজের সব ধরনের তথ্য, নির্দেশিকা এবং সহায়তা এই অ্যাপটির মাধ্যমে পেয়ে যাচ্ছে আমাদের দেশের কৃষক সমাজ । কৃষক জনগোষ্ঠীকে প্রযুক্তির সাথে সম্পৃক্ত করার মাধ্যমে স্মার্ট কৃষক তৈরিতে “ফসলি” অ্যাপটি যুগান্তকারী ভূমিকা রাখবে। 

ফসলিতে রয়েছে - 
চাষাবাদ প্রস্তুতিঃ নিজ নিজ এলাকা ও মাটির বৈশিষ্ট্যের ভিত্তিতে উপযোগী ফসল নির্বাচন বিষয়ক সেবা। 
চাষাবাদঃ ফসল উৎপাদন এবং রোগবালাই ও পোকামাকড়ের আক্রমণ বিষয়ক সঠিক পূর্বাভাস ও তথ্য সেবা। 
ফসল সংগ্রহঃ নিকটস্থ হাট-বাজারের অবস্থান, শস্যের বাজারদর ও ফসল সংরক্ষণ বিষয়ক পরামর্শ। 
আবহাওয়া পূর্বাভাসঃ দুর্যোগজনিত কারণে ফসলের ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হ্রাসের লক্ষ্যে পূর্বাভাস ও সতর্কসংকেত প্রদান। 
আমার ফসলঃ চাষকৃত ফসলের বীজ বপন থেকে ফসল তোলা পর্যন্ত বিশেষায়িত পরামর্শ ও সেবা। 
তথ্যকোষঃ আধুনিক কৃষি তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তি বিষয়ক তথ্য সম্ভার।

চাষাবাদের বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ে এদেশের কৃষকেরা প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্যের অভাবে যেসব সমস্যার মুখোমুখি হন, তা দূর করাই ফসলির প্রধান লক্ষ্য। 

দেশের কৃষিখাতের সাথে জড়িত সবার কাছে তথ্যসেবা পৌঁছে দিতে এই অ্যাপটি তৈরী হয়েছে। এছাড়াও মোবাইলে এসমএস.ও ফোনকলের মাধ্যমে ফসলির কিছু সেবা সীমিত পরিসরে সাধারণ মোবাইলে পাওয়া যায়। 

The Geo-data for Agriculture and Water Facility (G4AW) of Netherlands Space Office (NSO) has implemented a project titled ‘Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS)' for farmers. The services of IDSS are rendered under the name ‘Fosholi’ in English and ‘ফসলি’ in Bangla. 

The project is intended to leverage geo-data to gather, target and propagate relevant information to farmers when they need it, in a viable way. With the vision initiate change and to positively affect the lives of millions of smallholder farmers, this project leverages new technology in the advancement of the grassroots of the country’s agriculture. We ask for your attention, advice and support in this regard.

The services of this platform are broadly classified into the following areas: 
Pre-cultivation: Select the most suitable crop variety by location and soil condition.
Cultivation: Get crop production related accurate information and pest & disease alerts in advance.
Post-Cultivation: Find locations of nearest markets, price and advice on crop storage. 
Weather forecast: Reduce crop damage by using timely forecasts and disaster warnings.
My Crop: Obtain location specific and crop specific customized agronomic advices for full crop season.
Knowledge Bank: Learn about advanced agricultural information and technologies.
Farmer’s Toolbox: Use advanced agricultural tools and practices for maximum productivity.
Question Bank: Submit questions with pictures of your plant’s condition, land and other conditions and get answer to queries from the agriculture experts.
